The Trenton Trojans met up with the Gabriel Richard Pioneers on the ice of Yack Arena for a top of the line showdown. The Trojans came away with a 4-1 victory on December 14, 2023.

Quick Strike
The Trojans’ offense made quick work of the Pioneers’ defense, scoring three of their four goals in the first period. The first goal came with 14:23 left in the first, and then the next two came 17 seconds apart during the 11-minute mark. The way the Trojans skated and attacked the goal made them look powerful and precise on offense.
Protecting the Net
Junior goalie Evan Sivi was terrific in net against the Pioneers. He faced 26 shots and stopped 25 of them. The loan shot that went in was in the first period when they were outshot 11 to 9. Sivi was moving with the flow of the game and looked like one of the best in the business, protecting his net.

Young and Scrappy
The hockey iteration of the Pioneers is just like their Basketball team; they are young and scrappy. One of their young scrappy players is Mason Eshelman, the lone goal scorer for his team, and he’s only a freshman. Eshelman played fast and made the most of his chances.
