Orchard Lake St. Mary’s and Waterford Mott met in the round of 16 to see who could advance into the quarterfinals. While it would be a slow start to the game, Orchard Lake would prove that they are one of, if not the best, team in the state as they would go on to win 54-37.

Jacoby Menyweathers wasn’t going down without a fight. Menyweathers was hitting shot after shot for his team to keep them in the game, but it wasn’t enough for Mott. Of the 37 points that Mott scored, Menyweathers had 16 of them. He was also the only one who provided any type of consent offense for his team, as he scored in all four quarters of the game.

Just like in NBA 2k, when your player gets hot, and they get their takeover, that’s what it was like with Sharod Barnes. While he would only score 12 points in the game, he was all over the place for Orchard Lake, and he would use a big third quarter to help his team extend their lead and officially ice the game away.
