This week’s D1QB LAB Game of the Week takes us to Downtown Detroit as the Technicians of Cass Tech High School take on the Crusaders of Martin Luther King High School.
For Cass Tech they are looking to stay on the right track vs their crosstown rivals. After an opening 56-54 loss to Southfield in overtime, and a 35-21 loss to Carmel Indiana. They were finally able to get on the board with a win versus Detroit Renaissance 66-0 in week three. The Technicians are still led by now Senior Quarterback Leeshaun Mumpfield who has been a guiding presence the last three seasons for the Technicians.
On the other side of things, Martin Luther King High School is looking to stay on the right track following a 68-0 victory over Detroit Mumford. Week one didn’t go as planned for the Crusaders as they fell 44-26 to Indianapolis Warren Central before having a week off before the DPSL play opens. The Crusaders are still led by 5-Star Quarterback Dante Moore who committed to Oregon over the summer.
Both teams will look to stay perfect in this rivalry matchup. Kickoff is at 7 pm from beautiful Cass Tech High School in the heart of Downtown Detroit.
