D1QB Lab Game of the Week: New Boston Huron vs Grosse Ile

This week’s D1QB Lab Game of the week takes us back to the Huron League as the New Boston Huron Chiefs (3-2) host ten Grosse Ile Red Devils (4-1).

Since the week 1 loss to the Milford Mavericks the Chiefs won a close one over rival Milan 13-12 and lost big to Riverview 33-7, however they dominated the game as they beat Monroe Jefferson and Carlton Airport by a combined 102-22 final. Since that week one loss coach Tom Hoover has moved around his players and has taken full advantage of his athletes like Gavin Moczydlowsky, Micah Smith, Rory Callahan, and Christian Copley to turn it around.

For the Grosse Ile Red Devils, they come in at 4-1 with their sole loss coming at the hands of Carlton Airport 41-34 in week 4. For the Red Devils, they are led by Tyler Swick who has pulled in 29 catches for 412 yards and six total touchdowns (4 receiving and 2 return), they also have Quarterback Travis Symons who has completed 72 of his 118 pass attempts for 857 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. The Red Devils also have two-way star Hunter Proctor who has pulled in 12 catches for 207 yards and three touchdowns, but he’s also shined on defense averaging 9.2 tackles per game and causing a fumble and racking up a sack.

This is Hurons homecoming so they will come ready to play, however, the Red Devils will look for payback following a 39-7 loss last season. This game is sure to be a shootout.
