After two great games a week ago, we are staring week four in the face with two league matchups. First, we are heading into KLAA country as Dearborn Fordson hosts Livonia Stevenson. Then, in our game of the week powered by Kroll Construction, we head south to the state of Ohio for a Catholic League game as Toledo Central Catholic hosts Warren De La Salle. Both games are at 7 pm.
Dearborn Fordson vs Livonia Stevenson
In only the fourth matchup of all time, the Stevenson Spartans head to Dearborn to take on the Tractors of Fordson.
The Spartans enter this one with an 0-3 record on the season, and none of the games have been particularly close, being outscored 135 to 54. A bright spot on the season for the Spartans has been Senior Ar’Jon Thompson, who rushed 37 times for 106 yards and a touchdown and has pulled in 13 receptions for 202 yards and four touchdowns.
The Tractors, on the other hand, have come in and taken names as in the first two KLAA games, have outscored them 84 to 5, holding Wayne Memorial to two points last week. After missing time due to an ankle injury, Senior Tight End/ Edge Rusher Jad Bazzi returns to the fold for the Tractors, and that will be a huge shot in the arm for Junior Quarterback Mazen Baidoun who has passed for 240 yards and four touchdowns in three games. Wassif Nadi will look to add to his 144 yards and three touchdowns. As for the receivers, Senior Omran Daher has led the way with 131 yards and four touchdowns.
De La Salle vs Toledo Central Catholic- Game of the Week
This matchup between the current Division 2 Champions from Michigan and Ohio will take us to Toledo as the Pilots of De La Salle travel to take on the Leprechauns of Toledo Central Catholic.
The Leprechauns have opened up the season on a high note as they enter this game at 4-0.
