With the State Finals getting going this Friday with divisions 2,4,6, and 8. Saturday will see divisions 1,3,5, and 7. So now it’s time for our Finals preview.
Division 1
The Division 1 State finals will see defending champions Davison take on West Bloomfield. West Bloomfield will be led by Donovan Edward and Dillon Tatum who were both instrumental in the win last week against Belleville. On the other side Davison handley beat Rockford. Davison will be led by Dion Brown and Harrison Unger. However without their Quarterback Davison’s run may end here.
Final: West Bloomfield 28, Davison 21
Division 2
In the State Finals for division 2 you will see a rematch of the 2018 State Finals as undefeated Mona Shores takes on DeLaSalle. Mona Shores will look to win their 18th straight game dating back to October 2019. On the other hand DeLaSalle is looking to do what they did in the 2018 finals as they beat Mona Shores 29-16.
Final: Mona Shores 35, DeLaSalle 21
Division 3
The division 3 state final game will see the defending state champion River Rouge take on undefeated DeWitt. River Rouge returns a majority of its team from a year ago when they won the state title. DeWitt on the other hand is back in the title game for the first time since 2013 when they lost to Zeeland west. It will be a dog fight between these two schools.

Division 4
For the division 4 title game we will see a pair of 8-2 teams matchup as Cadillac and Detroit Country Day face off. Country Day will look to finally get over the hump, as they are 0-5 in state final games since 2007. For Cadillac this will be their first finals appearance. A Cinderella story will win this year.

Division 5
The division 5 finals will see a battle of the undefeated as 11-0 Frankenmuth takes on 10-0 Grand Rapids CC. For Grand Rapids they will try and defend their division 4 championship of a year ago. It will also help that Grand Rapids returns Quarterback Joey Silveri and Wide Receiver Jace Williams who were starters a year ago. Frankenmuth on the other hand is heading to the Finals for the first time in school history. Experience will payoff in this one.
Final: Grand Rapids CC 35, Frankenmuth 14
Division 6
Undefeated Montague will face off against 10-1 Clinton in the division 6 state title game. In the last five years both Montague and Clinton have been in the state finals but both have come up short Montague in 2018 and Clinton in 2015. One will come out on top this weekend.

Division 7
New Lothrop and Traverse City St. Francis is the warm up for the Saturday games. New Lothrop will be making their third finals appearance since 2000 with them winning in 2006 and 2018. On the other hand St. Francis will be making their sixth finals appearance since 2000 with wins coming in 2003,2005,2008, and 2009. This powerhouse matchup will finish with one team adding another trophy to the case.

Division 8
The first game of the weekend will see an undefeated Centreville take on 9-2 Ubly. Ubly will be making their second state finals in school history their last appearance was in 2008 as they lost to St. Francis who is playing for the Division 7 title. Centreville is making their first appearance in the championship game. This will be a hard fought game that should kick off a great weekend of football.
Final: Centreville 35, Ubly 28
