Hoops Takeaways: Phoenix Glassnor sets a School Record for Points in a Career as De La Salle Takes Town Toledo Central Catholic.

It’s always a big-time game when two Catholic League teams meet, but the game between De La Salle and Toledo Central Catholic had more on the line. De La Salle’s Phoenix Glassnor was aiming to break the school record for points scored. He entered the game five points away from breaking the record, and his team won by a final of 71-63.

Record-Setting Phoenix

Phoenix Glassnor entered the game against Toledo Central Catholic five points shy of the school record in points. Glassnor entered the game sitting at 1,512 points, and it would only take him two minutes to break the record, as he would hit a three-ball to become the school’s all-time record holder. In the game, Glassnor would finish with 42 points on a night his team won, which was about him and setting a school record.

Hanging in the Fight

Toledo Central Catholic hung around in the game for the longest time, but it wasn’t enough. While they did manage to overcome a ten-point lead by De La Salle and take the lead early in the third quarter, they didn’t have enough firepower to slow down Glassnor on his special night.
