The Plymouth Wildcats hosted the Novi Wildcats in a classic KLAA catfight. The Wildcats of Novi took the year’s first meeting as they won 60-44 over the Wildcats of Plymouth.
Novi
All in This Together
The Novi Wildcats were all in this one together as it wasn’t just one player that won it for Novi; they had four players score in double digits. While they have an alpha dog in Aaron Lauer, who the rest of the players deferred to, he wasn’t the only guy to do damage. While Lauer led the team in points with 17, Thad Lawler led the team with four rebounds, Boden Fernsler led the way with six assists, and Chase LeFevre led the team with four steals. Novi played a great team game, which showed in the final score.
Plymouth
Turnovers and Overs
One of the main things that did the Plymouth Wildcats in against Novi was their turnovers. Plymouth turned the ball over a staggering 19 times in the game, which came out to just under five turnovers per quarter. With numbers like that, it will be hard to win many games. At times, Plymouth just played too fast for their own good, and the 19 turnovers show why they ended up losing the game.
