It was a big-time rivalry showdown as Utica Eisenhower traveled to Romeo. While Eisenhower led for the majority of the game, Romeo hit a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer to give them a 41-40 win.
Utica Eisenhower Eagles
Coming Up Short
The Eagles of Utica Eisenhower came up just short, and it wasn’t for a lack of trying from Alex Edgar and Randall Rice. Whenever Romeo made a push to get back into the game, either Edgar or Rice made a big play to keep the Eagles in the lead. Edgar hit a few big three-pointers to keep them in the lead, and it was Rice who made a nice defensive play turn into offense for his team.
Romeo Bulldogs
Never Gave Up
The Bulldogs of Romeo fought until the end of the game, and that was evident by the way they finished the game, with Brody Hare winning them the game on a buzzer-beater. Every time Eisenhower thought they would break the game open, Hare would hit them with the “not-so-fast my friend” to keep his team in the game. Hare’s resilience in the game led him to hit the three, which gave his team the win over their rival.
