With 15 offers on the table Wyandotte Quarterback Jalin Pitchford finally made a decision on where he’s going to spend the next four years.
Pitchford made the decision to commit to Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. According to Pitchford he chose Northwood because “I was going to school to be a name rather than just a number.” He also said “I feel that it is important to create a family bond with coaches, teammates and even teachers! Plus it is a wonderful business school that actually took the time to sit down and explain the academic side in depth with just me and my family when I took my visit.”
This year Pitchford saw time on defense as well as playing Quarterback for Wyandotte. Pitchford said he was recruited to Northwood as a Quarterback, however he went on to say “If the team needs me out on defense too best believe I will gladly jump in.”
Pitchford finished by talking about his time at Wyandotte saying “Wyandotte has helped me grow, not only as a student in the classroom but an athlete on the field!” He went on to say that his coaches at Wyandotte taught him lessons that have helped him develop the ability to lead a group of men, and that family is most important no matter what, and at the end of the day your guys is all you got. Pitchford wrapped up by saying “I AM A BEAR FOR LIFE and I am glad I got to experience my 4 years of high-school here! If I could do it all over again, I would not have drawn it up any different!”
