The Allen Park Jaguars traveled to Detroit to take on Martin Luther King in a regional matchup on November 12th.
The first quarter of the game was a back and forth defensive battle as neither team wanted to break. That was until 1:58 left in the first as King quarterback Dante Moore found Lynn Wycherley-EL for a 26-yard touchdown pass.
The score would stay that way until 4:15 left in the first half when it was once again quarterback Dante Moore throwing a three-yard touchdown pass this time finding Joseph Williams Jr in the back of the endzone. King wasn’t done there however as they would tack on one more score in the first half as Moore would throw for his third and final score of the night as he would find Lamont Parks Jr from 25 yards out to give King a 21-0 lead heading to the half.
Both teams would play a scoreless third quarter that was marred by penalties on the Jaguar side, which would include a touchdown that would be called back. The Jaguars had at least five personal fouls including two by senior Gabe Craig which caused him two be ejected late in the fourth quarter.
Scoring in the fourth would get underway quick as running back Sterling Anderson Jr would tumble in from one yard out thirty seconds into the quarter to put King up 28-0. After a few big plays were called back for the Jaguars they would finally break one-off as Jaguars quarterback Ethan Gajewski would find Kevin Lebron for a 50-yard pickup that would help set up an eight-yard pass from Gajewski to Thomas “Swaggy” David with a 1:27 left in the game.
