Record Breaking Titan

Last week, a 40-year record fell at Southgate Anderson High School. The record that fell was the Career Passing Touchdowns. The record was held by Andy Kroll, who set it by throwing for 32 touchdowns from 1982-84, and now it is held by Jackson Sage, who has passed for 34 touchdowns in his career.  Sage said he didn’t know about the record before the game, as his parents told him about it post-game. He would say that breaking the record was an honor since it hadn’t been broken in so long.

Sage has been a three-year starter for the Southgate Anderson Titans, but he’s never been the team’s main star. So it’s nice to finally give him his dues. This year, he led Southgate to a 3-2 record en route to breaking the record. Sage has time to keep adding to the record, as Southgate still has four games before the end of the regular season.
