It’s always an interesting time when the Lincoln Park Railsplitters and the Allen Park Jaguars meet in the Battle of Dix and Champaign. This time was no different as the Jaguars grabbed an early lead and never looked back as they beat the Railsplitters 48-38.
That was the case tonight as the two teams got off to a slow start only scoring a combined 11 points in the first quarter. However the second quarter saw the two teams score at will with Allen Parks’ Max Slate dropping a quarter high 7 points that helped the Jaguars take a 23-17 lead into the half.
The second half was more of the same for the Jaguars as they went on to out score the Railsplitters 25-21 in the second half. The Railsplitters were led in scoring by Malik McKinney who had 9 points on the night, and for the Jaguars they were led by Adrien Putnam who had 21 for the Jaguars.
