Detroit Country Day and Divine Child have some powerhouse players; in this game, we saw those players play their hearts out. Going into this game, both teams were 2-1 and coming off big wins. Unfortunately, Country Day could not produce the same this week against the Falcons. The final score would be 23-6.

They tried and tried again to be able to find the endzone, but due to Divine Child’s defense stopping them throughout the game, the only thing that they were able to come close to were field goals. In the second quarter, they were the first to put a score on the board. Minutes later, Divine Child came through with a touchdown to take the lead, but that did not last long because Country Day tied the game right before the half. Unfortunately, that was the last time they could add a point to the game.

Two Sides of the Ball
This team knows what to do when it comes to the game of football, offensively and defensively. When it came to being on the scoring side of the ball, they knew what they wanted to get done; in the first half, it was a fight for them, but when they got the hook-and-ladder into the endzone right before the half, it was game over for them. They were untouchable after that. A key player for this offense is Junior Marcello Vitti, but you can’t leave out the main guy, Freshman Drew Sheridan. Sheridan was 13/17 in completion, totaling 204 passing yards with two touchdowns on the night. Defensively, the Falcons were flying high in the second half, passing reflections and interceptions and blocking the Country Day offense by not letting them close to the endzone.
All Eyes on Vitti
Marcello Vitti is the player who is going to be the next known player out of Divine Child. This game shows why he has all the offers that he does. In week four of the season, this kid had 166 yards and two touchdowns on offense. Defensively, he added 11 tackles, a forced fumble, and three pass breakups. Marcello Vitti is a player to continue watching.
