Week 6 Takeaways: New Boston Huron vs Grosse Ile

After a second trip to New Boston Huron this time on Homecoming Weekend we have a few new takeaways following the 27-0 victory over rival Grosse Ile.

New Boston Huron

Athletes Everywhere!

New Boston Huron has athletes all over the field. With players like Quarterback Gavin Moczydlowsky, Tight End/Wide Receiver Rory Callahan, Wide Receiver Ethan Woolery, and Running Backs Christan Copley and Micah Smith the Chiefs have freak athletes all over the field who can make a big play happen out of nothing. That is very obvious with multiple big plays called back due to penalties, if the Chiefs can fix those they can find a way to make a small run in the state playoffs.

Moczydlowsky Found his Groove?

Quarterback Gavin Moczydlowski looks to have found his groove this season. After originally losing the QB battle in the off-season to newcomer Christan Copley, Moczydlowski had to replace him in the opener back in August. However, since that change the Chiefs have won four of the five games he’s started outscoring opponents 129 to 22 over the last three games. This past week Moczydlowski passed for 110 yards and two touchdowns while adding 105 more rushing yards and an additional two touchdowns. If the Senior QB can keep this up the Chiefs will be good to go come playoffs.

Grosse Ile

Over-Hyped?

Coming into this matchup we were told how good of a team Grosse Ile was, and that they might be the best team in the league, however, we didn’t see that on Friday. They do have weapons to be good but were they the privilege of an early season easy schedule, or have injuries depleted the roster?

The Talent is There.

Grosse Ile has the weapons they have two receivers that are dangerous on the outside it’s just a matter of if they can get the ball to them. Tyler Swick and Hunter Proctor both have the speed and in the bit, we did see of them they looked electric with the ball. Get them the ball and they will be fine down the stretch and in the D5 playoffs.
