Week 7 Takeaways: Allen Park vs Trenton

By: Natalia Terleckyj

Trenton last year was able to pull out the win against Allen Park. Coming into this game it was a toss-up on the outcome of the game, Trenton came in with a record of 5-1 and Allen Park being undefeated. Allen Park pulled out the win with a score of 42-14.

Trenton

Trojan Horse Offensive

Trenton has struggled with their offense this whole season, within the last couple of weeks the offense has not looked like it did at the beginning of the season, The Trojans are still having issues with their quarterback play and the pass protection. The Defense also has been struggling with the quarterback rushes and medium-yards pass routes, but there is one player on the defensive who deserves credit, who would be Sophomore Brock Culpepper, In this game he had a total of 16 tackles with 5 TFLs. Culpepper also had 2 quarterback pressures.

Allen Park

A plus of AP

Allen Park has been playing hard all year, both on defense and offense. The Jaguars have stopped teams from winning the closest game all year for Allen Park was against Southgate Anderson, but still put up 37 points, and averaging 40 points a game. If you watch this year’s team, it is a whole different team than it was last year, last year they were 5-3 in the downriver league and now being undefeated.

Quarterback Taking Charge

The Player of the Game goes to Junior Quarterback Braylon Orsette. Orsette had three passing touchdowns for 43 yards, two rushing touchdowns, and finished with a total of 214 yards on 11 of 14 passing. Next up, the Allen Park Jaguars face off with the Carlson Marauders on Friday, October 13 to see if they will take the DRL title from them.

  1. Wondering if this site ever watches Trenton games. Struggle with pass protection?? They have allowed 1 sack in 7 games last time I checked that’s not too bad. Also the quarterback for the Trojans has not struggled to much guys, ITS A RUNNING SYSTEM. Come on bear sports network have to be better.

  2. Struggling with pass protection. In 7 games they’ve let up one sack… the hogs are doing their job plain and simple. Too add off that nearly averaging 300 yards a game, do better bsn.

  3. ****player of the game goes to the refs who made wildly inaccurate calls. There, I fixed your article for you.

Also, have you even watched Trenton play? Stop focusing on one player and watch the entire team. Can’t be a reporter if you’re wearing rose colored glasses.
