The Wyandotte Bears and the Allen Park Jaguars wasted no time getting back on to the court. On the day the contact sport ban was lifted the two teams met for the first game of the season as Wyandotte beat Allen Park 72-66.
The game got off on a rough foot for the Jaguars who only managed nine points in the first quarter. However, that changed as the Jaguars went on a 13-6 run to open up the second quarter. That wasn’t the only run the Jaguars had though, as they followed it up with equally impressive runs in the third and fourth. One thing that helped the Jaguars to those runs were the fouls from the Bears. The Bears saw three of their players foul out including first half star DaLonte Wyatt.
The Jaguars were led by senior forward David Cagle who had 19 points in the losing effort. For the Bears, they were led by the Player of the Game Ethan Saenz who finished with a game high 31 points. Up next for the Wyandotte Bears they will host Trenton on Wednesday at 6pm. For the Allen Park Jaguars they will look to get on track as they host Southgate on Wednesday at 7pm.
